Field & Fire Café is an expansion of our current bakery. The café features breakfast and lunch focusing on local, organic ingredients, making simple dishes with big flavor…. from scratch. We’ll be bringing hand-made breads, pastries, breakfasts, lunches, and coffee drinks to the North Monroe district of downtown Grand Rapids.
Our goal is to make the best breakfast and lunch in Grand Rapids. We will continue to make naturally leavened, whole grain products to help ensure they are as healthy as possible. Our mission at Field & Fire Café is to sell real, wholesome, and flavorful food and pastries. We are guided by a desire to participate in the health of our customers and this leads us to support sustainable farming and slow food practices. We truly hope to help our customers embrace whole grains and food made by local people who care.
Field & Fire Café will allow us to expand our current pastry selection to include a variety of sweets and authentic European style breakfast and desert items. Think crepes, quiche, and crème brulee. We are currently working out the details of providing our bread for retail purchase at our new location. Also be on the lookout for new selections of hand-made whole grain breads made with wheat, spelt, rye, kamut and other nutritious grains. We hope our passion for whole grains will spread to our customers, and our presence will help the people of Grand Rapids become one of the most healthy communities in the country.
